Responsibilities
This role is an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of the talent engine that is modernizing Identity and Access Management functions with the latest technologies. Reporting to the Manager or Director, Identity and Access Management, Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing Ascension’s identity services and platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, creates and analyzes detailed workflows and documentation of IAM processes required to maintain security and minimize threats
- Identifies outdated access control processes and makes recommendations to automate, modernize and strengthen IAM security
- Participate in projects as an IAM Process Champion; Research and recommend IAM standards and processes for projects and system implementations
- Develops and manages processes for IAM stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and reporting to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Manages change management process for the IAM team to ensure compliance with Ascension and ITIL best practices
- Documents IAM process designs, procedures, policies, and controls
- Mentoring IAM Analysts, Specialist and contingent workers on Agile processes, Change Management and documentation
- Organizing and making documentation easily accessible
- Ensuring content quality through editing and analysis
- Advises management on information security policies, standards, procedures, security violations and security risks
- Leading and organizing project team meetings using Agile methodology and processes
Required Qualifications:
- 7 or more years of experience in a highly regulated healthcare environment with dedicated security administration and security management functions.
- Experience documenting identity lifecycle event flows such as Joiner / Mover / Leaver and access certifications with enterprise IAM / IGA tools.
- Solid understanding of IAM/IGA tools including Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
- Previous team lead/management experience in the security administration/IAM/security operations area a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and project teams using Agile methodology.
- Excellent Teamwork and Communication Skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing IAM workflows and automation using industry best practice concepts.
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated expertise in Agile Project Management and ITIL processes. Agile and ITIL certifications a plus
- Periodic on-call support after hours and weekends
Requirements
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
