Responsibilities

This role is an exciting opportunity to be the leader of the Role Based Access (RBAC) engineering team that is modernizing Identity Governance and Access Management functions with the latest technologies. Reporting to the Director, Identity and Access Management, the IAM RBAC Manager will be responsible for leading a team of developers and technicians designing and implementing Role Based Access using Ascension’s identity services platforms.

Responsible:

  • Accountable for the timely and quality implementation of Role Based Access as defined and prioritized by IAM leadership
  • Identifies current access control processes and leads the team to automate and implement Role Based processes to modernize and strengthen IAM/IGA security.
  • Reports on current RBAC development projects to IGA/IAM and Security Leadership as well as business stakeholders
  • Participate in projects and programs as an IGA/IAM RBAC SME
  • Incorporates internal and external audit and compliance reviews considerations in RBAC design and implementation.
  • Documents RBAC process designs, procedures, policies, and controls
  • Mentor and coach IAM RBAC direct reports
  • Collaborate with other Identity, Security, Infrastructure, and project teams
  • Review and support change management in accordance with policy and procedures
  • Escalation point for problems and provides support to IGA/IAM Operations and Provisioning team to ensure accurate resolution to the user community in a timely and effective manner
  • Advises senior leadership on information security policies, standards, procedures, security violations and security risks
  • Leading and organizing project team meetings using Agile methodology and processes

Required Qualifications

  • 7 or more years of experience in a highly regulated healthcare environment with dedicated security administration and security management functions, 5 years in people leader role
  • Demonstrated Experience in development and implementation of RBAC process and process automation using industry best practices
  • In depth knowledge of SailPoint’s IdentityIQ or Identity Security Cloud products
  • Experience crafting RBAC leveraging identity lifecycle event flows such as Joiner / Mover / Leaver and access certifications with enterprise IAM / IGA tools.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Solid understanding and advanced proficiency with ServiceNow for IT Service Management processes including Request/Task integrations support RBAC processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and project teams using Agile methodology.
  • Excellent Teamwork and Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with AD administration, group membership controls and IAM systems
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Periodic on-call support after hours and weekends

Education:

High school diploma/GED with 7 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

5 or more years of leadership or management experience in Identity Management or Information Security required.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Security or substantially related field is preferred.
