Responsibilities
Ascension is HIRING a Director - Strategy. This position will report directly to the Associate Vice President of Strategy & Growth and work alongside executive leaders inside and outside of the System Strategy Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with significant strategy experience! This is a FULLY REMOTE position.
Responsibilities:
Guide the delivery of the Corporate Strategy team's growth priorities across the enterprise and in Ministry Markets. This role is focused on strategic growth of the organization. The Strategic Growth Director will act as a strategic thought partner withmarket and system teams in areas such as growth, acute network development, ambulatory strategies, enterprise business planning, and market entry assessments.
- Contribute to achievement of Ascension & National System Strategy Growth Team’s goals to deliver on Ascension’s growth imperatives.
- Build frameworks and methodologies by which the Strategy & Growth Team will pursue market entry opportunities.
- Support management of progress-to-plan and monthly Ministry Market business performance.
- Support National and Ministry Market leaders in strategic growth opportunity evaluation, including but not limited to: hypothesis testing, opportunity assessments, and growth strategy development.
- Be a thought partner for Ministry Market Strategy Teams in the development of strategic growth goals, volume & growth forecasting, and market growth opportunities.
- Oversee execution and performance management of strategic growth initiatives.
- Continually review, understand, and incorporate industry and competitive environment dynamics into growth strategy development.

Requirements
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's
degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years
being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and highly-organized structured thinker who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate recommendations effectively (written & verbal) to executive and senior leadership in an concise, compelling manner
- Experience developing and executing enterprise and market based strategy in a large complex healthcare organization referred
- Experience working with operations to implement strategic initiatives preferred
- Ability to create structure from ambiguous information and set forth an efficient approach to solve problems or answer questions
- Ability to multiple tasks at once, prioritize work, and deliver exceptional work product
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and influence those who do not directly report to you - Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter (‘get it done’ attitude)
- Desire to be in a fast-paced role with a mindset of continuous improvement
- Healthcare consulting and health system corporate strategy experience preferred
- Bachelors degree highly preferred; Masters degree preferred
- 10 years of experience preferred
- 5 years of leadership experience preferred
