Responsibilities

The Technology Owner - Facilities Operations is responsible for the vision, strategy, and delivery of technology platforms supporting facility operations across the organization. This includes managing systems such as building automation, environmental monitoring, pneumatic tubing and fire alarm technologies. The domain owner acts as the key liaison between business stakeholders, facility leaders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure solutions are effective, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs.

Expertise and Experience

Proven experience leading the delivery of enterprise facilities or operational technology platforms. Strong working knowledge of systems such Temptrack, Pevco, Desigo CC, Metasys and other facility tech solutions. Experience managing multi-site or complex facility environments. Ability to navigate and align cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, vendors, and field leadership. Demonstrated success in vendor management, contract oversight, and technology lifecycle planning. Background in managing transitions between major platforms. Experience in high-compliance environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across teams

Job Duties

  • Responsible for defining and maintaining product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for facility-focused technologies.
  • Works independently to understand system workflows, technology infrastructure and applies knowledge to daily work, customer interactions and strategic recommendations.
  • Align solutions with regulatory requirements, operational efficiency targets and organizational standards.
  • Owns the vendor relationship for products within the facilities domain including national service contracts and monitoring of related service level agreements.
  • Work closely with facilities leadership, IT, security, operations and market teams to understand needs and pain points.
  • Facilitate standardization across facilities including equipment, software utilization, and system access.
  • Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to implement, upgrade and transition platforms.
  • Actively engaged in contract and vendor management including RFPs, POs, and voucher processes.
  • Ensures products within domain have current technical assessments and implements remediation and mitigation strategies for technical assessment findings.
  • High level of communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
  • Demonstrates proactive behaviors and self-management techniques, including but not limited to, working efficiently, demonstrating adaptability and setting goals while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
