Responsibilities

The Lead Revenue Integrity Analyst provides analytical and operational support to Ascension’s horizontal service lines, with a focus on Rehab and/or Imaging. This role is 100% remote, with quarterly travel to designated Ascension sites as determined by business needs. The Analyst is responsible for delivering insights into denials, charge capture, reimbursement, and overall revenue optimization, while contributing to process improvement efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses to identify key trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of revenue cycle performance, including billing, charge capture, denials, reimbursement trends, and AR metrics.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and finance teams to ensure documentation, billing, and reimbursement processes are accurate and compliant.
  • Support the design and implementation of process improvements, workflow changes, and system enhancements.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership through presentations, written reports, and dashboards.
  • Take a proactive role in driving improvement activities to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate across functional and analytical teams to ensure consistency and optimization of deliverables.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced analysts.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific
    experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a medical group practice or hospital business office within a large, complex healthcare system.
  • Experience in revenue cycle operations, revenue integrity, or revenue cycle informatics preferred; exposure to inpatient/outpatient rehab, radiology, or hospital coding strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
  • Advanced proficiency in reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Epic, Oracle, Athena, or other revenue cycle management platforms preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
