The post is accountable for influencing the decisions and leadership views across the region. You will be the security focal point for advice on security matters across all business and operating activities in the region. You will provide a comprehensive service that identifies and manages risk and the implementation of appropriate risk-based security programs and solutions across the region.

As a Regional Security Manager Europe Caspian, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying security threats and conducting security risk assessments, to measure and develop risk profiles of Baker Hughes activities and locations.

  • Implementing security measures to manage and mitigate security risks. Ensuring Baker Hughes' security programs and asset protection levels remain aligned as the risk evolves.

  • Implementing Baker Hughes’ security policies and procedures across all sites and operations within the geographical remit.

  • Conducting strategic reviews to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of existing programs, controls and mitigation measures. Conducting strategic review of security services and client needs.

  • Conducting investigations to resolve allegations of criminal activity, serious violations of corporate policy etc. Conducting background investigations and due diligence.

  • Managing the security spend for Enterprise Security (ES) function in region, and for security operations.

  • Identifying security awareness training needs in the businesses and delivering required training, including compliance, fraud prevention, conflict of interest, crime and terrorism awareness, substance abuse, workplace violence, travel and personal security.

  • Conducting threat and risk assessments, developing executive protection plans for the protection of senior Baker Hughes executives and high-profile events.

  • Working with our Intellectual Property and Cyber teams in maintaining and mitigating company programs and policies.

  • Working in partnership with business leaders and internal functions to proactively monitor developments in the business that could affect Baker Hughes risk profiles. Ensuring leaders are aware of security implications of developments, and adjusting mitigations as required.

  • Establishing and maintaining a network of professional contacts within the security and intelligence communities, and with industry counterparts, for benchmarking and sharing of best practices and intelligence. Establishing relationships with government officials to support intelligence gathering and facilitate action in the event of crises.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Have significant experience in a Regional Security manager role. Prior experience of the Oil and Gas industry preferred.

  • Demonstrate ability to exercise effective independent judgment and take appropriate action.

  • Show excellent interpersonal skills and effective influencing, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Be comfortable working in ambiguous environments and working within matrix organizations.

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate complex and sensitive situations to various levels of the organization and external environments.

  • Be effective at developing internal and external alliances to fulfil security mission.

  • Demonstrate ability in conflict resolution and consensus building.

  • Have experience with business resilience and crisis/emergency response management.

  • Be comfortable working in ambiguous environments and working within matrix organizations.

  • Have good knowledge of security system technologies.

  • Be able to travel 20% of time around Caspian Europe

  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
