Job Description

Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs is seeking a Full-time Production Cook to join our culinary team. This role ensures the quality production of food, adherence to recipes, and portion control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food for the assigned venue according to established standards.
  • Adhere to standards for preparation, portioning, cooking, and presentation of all menu items.
  • Ensure excellent quality of food and proper presentation.
  • Maintain proper portion control, adherence to recipes, and timeliness of all food products.
  • Prepare daily quantities of required foods as per the Chef’s instructions.
  • Store and maintain all products properly in coolers, holding cabinets, and other areas to prevent waste and spoilage.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards for kitchen operations, equipment, and tools.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain portion control standards.
  • Attention to detail in food presentation and quality.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food handler’s certification by the appropriate regulatory agency.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
