Job Description
Hard Rock Live Hotel and Casino is seeking a highly skilled master Room Inspector to oversee the cleanliness and presentation of our guest rooms. Our Room Inspector is the ultimate authority on proper pillow placement and pristine presentation. They're the first line of defense against rogue remote controls and the champions of clutter-free counters. Don't mess with the mini-bar arrangement – they'll know.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, linens, and storage areas to ensure they meet the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Provide immediate feedback and direction to room attendants to rectify any deficiencies.
- Prioritize and track the status of guest checkouts, pickups, and any discrepancies, ensuring efficient room turnover. Maintain accurate room status updates on all relevant devices and systems.
- Complete detailed housekeeping preventative maintenance (PM) reports at the end of each shift, documenting inspections and findings.
- Prepare and distribute daily assignment reports, adapting them as needed throughout the shift to reflect real-time changes.
- Inspect all cleaning equipment and supplies to verify they are in good working order and comply with hotel safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Address guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed.
- Follow up on maintenance requests and ensure guest needs are met.
- Seek assistance from supervisors or other departments when necessary to resolve complex situations involving guests, colleagues, or room issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the housekeeping department.
Qualifications
- We're looking for someone with a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 6 months of housekeeping experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Be ready to put your best foot forward with constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Ability to be detail-oriented and have a willingness to learn.
- Comprehensive understanding of safe chemical handling practices, including proper usage and protocols for bloodborne pathogens.
- Ability to maintain interdepartmental relationships.
- Work will require varied shifts including weekends and holidays, as needed.
