Job Description
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa is seeking a Sous Chef to play a crucial role in the success of the kitchen operations at Carvers on 19. This position involves assisting the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of food preparation, production, and service, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Oversee food storage, preparation, and production.
- Control operational costs, including labor and food costs.
- Ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
- Ensure proper portion control and adherence to recipes.
- Maintain proper food rotation and storage.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including dish machines, floor buffers, kettles, and ovens.
- Provide leadership and training to kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Assist with menu planning and development.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a full-service kitchen, including experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe certification.
- Ability to obtain a state issued alcoholic beverage license.
