The Valet Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the valet, bell, and transportation departments within a full-service hotel environment. This position focuses on operational leadership, employee development, guest satisfaction, and maintaining safety and accountability standards for vehicle handling and guest property. The manager leads team supervisors and attendants, monitors service flow, and ensures all procedures and policies are consistently followed.

The Valet Manager oversees the daily operations of valet, bell, and transportation services, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional guest experiences. This role leads department staff, maintains service standards, manages scheduling and staffing levels, and coordinates with other hotel departments to support VIP arrivals, events, and high-volume periods.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a full-service hotel or hospitality environment, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage staffing schedules and operational workflow.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in environments with crowd noise and second-hand smoke.
  • Position is safety-sensitive and subject to drug testing.

  • Oversee daily operations of valet, bell, and transportation departments.

  • Supervise staff and maintain appropriate staffing levels based on occupancy, events, and operational demand.

  • Lead or oversee pre-shift meetings to review expectations, VIP arrivals, events, and occupancy levels.

  • Monitor traffic flow and vehicle staging to ensure efficiency and safety.

  • Ensure proper vehicle handling, key control, ticket tracking, and documentation procedures.

  • Conduct vehicle damage inspections and review incident reports when necessary.

  • Train, coach, and mentor supervisors and valet team members.

  • Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and professional appearance standards.

  • Maintain accurate operational logs and accountability procedures.

  • Coordinate with Front Desk and other departments during VIP arrivals and high-volume periods.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of valet offices, key storage areas, and staging locations.

  • Assist with scheduling, staffing plans, and attendance monitoring.

  • Address performance concerns promptly and support employee development.

  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally while maintaining a guest-first service approach.

  • Maintain professionalism and operational control in high-volume environments.
