Full job description

We are seeking skilled ACHE Header Welders/Fitters to join our fabrication team. This role involves welding and fitting air-cooled heat exchanger headers while maintaining strict safety, quality, and production standards. Positions are available for Class A (Senior), Class B (Intermediate), and Class C (Entry-Level) candidates.

  • Weld and fit ACHE headers in accordance with ASME standards and fabrication drawings

  • Read and follow welding procedures and required parameters

  • Maintain high productivity without sacrificing quality or safety

  • Work closely with Quality Control to ensure code compliance

  • Operate overhead and jib cranes and perform proper rigging

  • Adapt to company needs by assisting with related fabrication tasks (nozzles, wrapper plates, etc.)

  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

What We’re Looking For

Class A (Senior)

  • 5+ years welding ACHE headers

  • Qualified in all weld positions (1G, 2G, 3G, 6G)

  • Qualified in 3+ welding processes and materials

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability

  • Excellent weld quality with minimal repair rates

Class B (Intermediate)

  • 3+ years welding ACHE headers

  • Qualified in 2+ weld positions, processes, and materials

  • Strong understanding of fit-up and repair work

  • Ability to identify issues and propose solutions

Class C (Entry-Level)

  • Less than 6 months experience or recent welding graduate

  • Qualified in at least 1 weld position, process, and material

  • Willingness to learn header fit-up and repair techniques

  • Strong safety mindset and work ethic

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and safety-focused

  • Ability to work overtime when required

  • Experience with carbon arc and plasma cutting (preferred)

  • Ability to meet weld and fit-up quality standards

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift

  • Lift up to 50 lbs safely

  • Work at heights and in high-noise environments

  • Ability to wear required PPE

  • Climate-controlled facility with limited environmental control
