Helper

The primary role of the Helper is to perform precision miscellaneous tasks, as directed by the Plant Superintendent, to support Catoosa’s manufacturing operations and office functions.

• Read prints for required specifications and dimensions
• Set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts
• Support logistic needs, including needs from shop personnel, unloading of equipment from trucks, and moving materials to their required locations
• Provide support as needed to structure bay fabrication
• Perform introductory shop tasks, such as grinding or deburring
• Support COF Safety Department’s directives, including visual inspection of equipment and installation of basic safety items, such as signage
• Be diligent with housekeeping duties to help maintain a clean and orderly shop environment
• Complete assigned work within given time frame and according to specifications
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of manufacturing tools and their proper use
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability and willingness to follow directions
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Verbal communication skills
