ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and on time, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of your vehicle, and providing exceptional service to our clients. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who enjoys being behind the wheel and working independently.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive assigned vehicle
• Transport goods from a place of origin to assigned destination
• Pick-up loads and organize load in an ordered, logical manner
• Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage
• Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods from a truck at selected destinations
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries with clients
• Assist warehouse staff and customers with loading and unloading processes
• Map deliveries to ensure efficient routes and timely deliveries
• Confirm contents of each shipment load matches BOL document
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
• Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
• Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
• Make safety a priority at all times

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Valid driver's license and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Previous experience driving a large company truck
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of loading and unloading duties
• Proficient in using navigation systems
• Strong sense of direction and ability to plan efficient routes.
• Detail-oriented, focused, and committed to safety.
• Skilled and confident driver that is comfortable maneuvering and parking a large vehicle
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Must pass a background check and drug test
