Your Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, results-driven individual to join the Milli-Q® Lab Water Solutions team at MilliporeSigma. As a field-based sales professional, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales of our cutting-edge Milli-Q® Lab Water product and service portfolio through both direct and distribution channels. Your efforts will be instrumental in achieving and surpassing quarterly and annual sales targets, all while establishing and nurturing strong relationships with our valued customer base.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in efficiently managing a sales territory by providing exceptional technical and application knowledge. Your attention to detail and problem solving mindset will add significant value to our organization by assisting with customization of our product portfolio and building customer loyalty.

With a territory covering Connecticut, Rhode Island, Central and Southern Massachusetts, you will enjoy day-to-day, in-person interactions with local clients making a real impact without the need for extensive overnight travel. Physical attributes:

  • Ability to lift 20lbs of demo products, walk through customer accounts

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Science or Business field with 2+ years of experience in technical sales and/or direct selling activities to the scientific community

OR

  • High School diploma or GED with 2+ years of field service experience involving capital equipment including product positioning
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Business field
  • 5+ years previous experience in technical sales and direct selling activities to the scientific community
  • Prior capital sales experience with hardware devices that require installation services
  • Background in Life Science or Engineering or understanding of laboratory applications and devices
  • Knowledge of clinical field, extensive familiarity with existing academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and government accounts within the region
  • Familiarity of CRM and funnel management tools to manage customer opportunities and maintain records of communications. Previous SalesForce.Com experience.
  • Proven ability to understand and articulate both technical product aspects and product market positioning. Problem solving mindset to develop and demonstrate solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, comfortable with presenting technical knowledge with architects and engineers
  • Computer skills including experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with scheduling in person meetings to address customer needs and execute sales strategy through timely and detailed follow up in assigned territory
  • Ability to present a professional image, attitude, and communication skills
  • Organized with the ability to manage your territory in an efficient manner keeping up with the demands of this job, such as answering voicemails and emails in a timely manner, planning customer visits, working with service group, keeping up with leads and quotes.
