Position Type: Full Time, Saturday-Wednesday 8:00am-4:30pm, Saturday/Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Aide at Emerald Care Center Claremore is a crucial member of our skilled nursing team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. This role encompasses housekeeping duties, ensuring that all areas of the facility meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, and common areas.
  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and stored safely.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining an organized storage area for cleaning supplies.
  • Collect, sort, and wash resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Dry, fold, and distribute laundry items to the appropriate areas or residents.
  • Maintain laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of clean laundry to avoid contamination.
  • Assist residents with personal laundry needs as required.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, family members, and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards working with elderly or disabled individuals.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning and laundry tasks, including lifting and moving items.
