Staffing Coordinator

Job Title: Staffing Coordinator

Location: Claremore, OK

Department: HR

Reports to: Administrator

Position Type: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm with occasional weekends

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Staffing Coordinator/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining nursing staff schedules to ensure our residents receive the best care possible. This role is critical in managing staffing needs, tracking attendance, and ensuring proper coverage for all shifts.

Work Environment:

Office setting within a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage staff schedules for nursing and support teams

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels in accordance with state regulations and facility needs

  • Communicate shift changes, open shifts, and schedule updates to staff in a timely manner

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, time-off requests, and shift swaps

  • Collaborate with HR and nursing leadership to address staffing challenges

  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding new staff as needed

  • Monitor compliance with policies related to attendance, punctuality, and staffing requirements

  • Provide support in handling last-minute schedule adjustments due to emergencies or call-offs

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional relevant training or coursework in healthcare or medication administration is a plus.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or similar environment, is preferred but not required.

  • Certifications: Current certification as a Medication Aide (CMA) and Nurse Aide (CNA) as required by Oklahoma regulations.

  • Communications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and build positive relationships with residents and their families.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed, and to perform tasks that require physical stamina and endurance.

  • Knowledge of State ad Federal regulations

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
