HYGIENE COORDINATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Hygiene Coordinator at Flawless Smile Dentistry, you hold a pivotal role within our team, collaborating closely with providers and patients to ensure a seamless flow of appointments. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that patients are scheduled for their essential hygiene appointments, enabling us to deliver exceptional care and provide our patients with an amazing experience. As the Hygiene Coordinator, you play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our dental practice. Your dedication to appointment coordination, patient engagement, and supporting our providers ensures that our office functions smoothly, allowing us to deliver exceptional care and experiences to our valued patients.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Insurance verification and break down for HYG side
• A/R for incoming HYG patients
• Call and confirm all upcoming HYG appointments
• Paperwork updates; HIPAA, health history for upcoming appointments
• Frequency limitation verification for services pertaining to HYG
• Call unscheduled HYG patients (60/day).

• Understand all XRAY types and be able to update appointments correctly with correct type
• Understand appointment types; perio, SRP, adult and child prophy, and denture cleaning differences

• Accountable and coachable to learn the Flawless Smile Dentistry Way of delivering dental care
• Experience successfully maintaining a positive attitude while working in a team environment with competing priorities
• Ability to engage with patients, providers, and team members building professional relationships

• Ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments within the practice, which may include travel to other locations, with a positive approach
• Outstanding organization and administrative skills

• Ability to exercise confidentiality with patients and patient care

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
• 1 year + dental experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

● Requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time

● Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs

● Position may require travel to and from field sites to monitor the status of multiple projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
