Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Reports To: Pharmacist

Position Summary
At AXIS Rx, we believe access to care includes access to the medications that support whole-person care and well-being. The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, timely, and accurate medication support as part of an integrated care model.
Working closely with pharmacists, providers, and care teams, this position supports medication management, preparation, coordination, and client service in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Enter and maintain prescription and client information in pharmacy systems
- Support medication coordination as part of an integrated care team
- Process insurance claims and assist with prior authorizations and billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and organizational standards
- Provide respectful, compassionate service to clients and care partners
- Communicate effectively with providers, clinics, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain confidentiality of client health information at all times
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred (or willingness to obtain within required timeframe)
- Active state pharmacy technician license/registration as required
- Previous pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred

Preferred Experience
- Experience in outpatient, behavioral health, or integrated care settings
- Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) or behavioral health medications
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) or pharmacy systems
Work Environment & Expectations
This role operates in a clinical pharmacy setting and may require standing for extended periods and managing multiple priorities throughout the day. Team members are expected to contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and respect.
