Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the provision of uniform and consistent standards related to safety, security, and readiness protocols in conjunction with company policies and guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor staff at the assigned property.
  • Review and implement annual security assessments for assigned property to identify policy, staffing, and technology requirements that drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive successful implementation and execution of security operations and ongoing Security Center of Excellence (COE) strategies and priorities.
  • Provide oversight and leadership, in coordination with VP Zone Lead, in the event of an incident at a respective property.
  • Collaborate and make recommendations as it relates to executing strategies in alignment with the changing security environment and Company initiatives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

SUPERVISION:

  • Supervise/Manage a department and have authority over hiring/firing/performance decisions including, but not limited to Supervisor Security, Shift Manager Security, and Manager Training.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous security leadership experience in a similar or related setting.
  • At least eight (8) years of government or private industry experience in the security field, including previous experience preparing risk assessments, operational security plans, conducting security reviews, and/or after-action reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Previous leadership experience in a similar or related setting.

PREFERRED:

  • At least five (5) years of previous experience working in a similar corporate and/or resort setting.
  • Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • Gaming Registration (as required by local jurisdiction).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to accurately and effectively analyze problems and adopt/implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports, including business correspondence, training documents, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to present and respond to questions succinctly, accurately, and effectively to all levels within and outside of the Company.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and other internal and external parties.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively deal with all business contacts.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Working knowledge of NIMS/ICS.
