This position is a member of the IT data security team and provides security analysis and support for operations, focusing on application security, data security, IT compliance, and security administration. Responsible for recommending appropriate tactical and strategic directions for the organization as they relate to emerging data security technologies. Researches, analyzes, and recommends new data security technologies, tools, and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Create network and application login IDs and manage access permissions for applications, databases, and files.
- Report on metrics and compliance for IT security controls.
- Support internal and external guests using appropriate eMail, telephone, and face-to-face interaction.
- Perform some work after normal business hours, as required.
- Provide administration, documentation, and implementation expertise for data security best practices.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Position may manage multiple projects without having direct supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Position requires a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. No prior security systems administration experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Advanced analytical thinking and problem solving required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
- Ability to adhere to required control practices, work well under pressure, and handle multiple projects at once.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable gaming licensing.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work may require travel, including overnight stays. Work will require varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed (on call).
