The Hwy Route 66 Diner Production Cook is responsible for preparing food items according to established standards and recipes. This Production Cook will support the Hwy Route 66 Diner and ensures the consistent preparation, portioning, and presentation of high-quality food items. This role supports kitchen operations by following recipes, maintaining food safety standards, and promoting a clean, friendly, and efficient work environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Comfort working in diverse environments such as kitchens, casino floors, and areas with exposure to smoke and noise.

  • Prepare food for assigned venue in accordance with menu standards.
  • Follow recipes and portion control to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain proper food presentation and timeliness of service.
  • Store and handle food correctly to prevent waste and spoilage.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards for kitchen operations, equipment, and tools.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment at all times.
  • Promote the Big Six values: Fun, Friendly, Quick, Comfortable, Clean, and Safe.
