As a Steward Supervisor, you are the frontline defender of kitchen safety and sanitation. You will oversee the daily activities of the culinary utility staff, ensuring all food and beverage venues meet strict health and safety standards. This position requires a detail-oriented leader who can manage chemical inventories, monitor equipment performance, and maintain a sanitary environment across multiple kitchen areas in a fast-paced facility.

Steward Supervisor leads the utility and dishwashing team to ensure the highest levels of kitchen cleanliness and operational efficiency. This role balances active personnel management with technical oversight of sanitation protocols and equipment maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in a kitchen, sanitation, or utility role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to stand constantly and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Comfort working in environments with extreme temperatures and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and maintain professional relationships with management and coworkers.

  • Assign tasks to Culinary Utility I and II staff; ensure all team members are fully trained and performing to standard.
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation, perform deep cleanings of the facility and specialized equipment, and inspect for potential health code violations.
  • Check and document dishwasher temperatures and sanitizer levels; monitor and change chemicals as required.
  • Order supplies as needed, assist in the dish room during staffing shortages, and clean dishwashing machinery after use.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure clear communication and smooth operations across shifts and locations.
