The Bartender at Riff's is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing outstanding guest service in one of Hard Rock Casino's signature bar venues. This role requires extensive knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits, the ability to engage with guests in a lively environment, and a commitment to responsible alcohol service. The Bartender maintains a clean and organized bar, accurately processes transactions, and works collaboratively with cocktail servers and fellow team members to deliver an exceptional entertainment experience.

The Bartender at Riff's delivers exceptional beverage service in a high-energy bar and entertainment venue by preparing premium cocktails, serving guests with professionalism, and creating a memorable experience. This position is responsible for maintaining beverage quality, promoting responsible alcohol service, and contributing to a fun, fast-paced atmosphere.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of bartending experience in a high-volume bar, casino, restaurant, nightclub, or entertainment venue preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong knowledge of standard cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Excellent communication, guest service, and multitasking skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system and handling cash accurately.
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
  • Ability to successfully complete alcohol awareness training.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required gaming and alcoholic beverage licenses.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with live entertainment, loud music, large crowds, and exposure to secondhand smoke in casino areas.

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting guests promptly, engaging with customers, and creating a welcoming, energetic atmosphere.
  • Maintain knowledge of specialty cocktails, featured beverages, beer, wine, and spirits to make recommendations and answer guest questions.
  • Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all responsible alcohol service laws and company policies.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and refuse service, when necessary, in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit card, and comp transactions.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels by stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and bar supplies throughout the shift.
  • Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, and bar mixes before and during service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service wells, equipment, and workstations.
  • Wash, sanitize, and restock glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Work closely with cocktail servers, barbacks, supervisors, and management to ensure efficient and timely beverage service.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, health department, and gaming regulations.
  • Promote the Big Six values: Fun, Friendly, Quick, Comfortable, Clean, and Safe.
