Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including loading tools, setting tool registers, compensation, and conditional switches.
  • Programming: Interpret CAD drawings/blueprints and enter instructions (programming) into the CNC software to cut, shape, and drill parts to exact specifications.
  • Quality Inspection: Measure completed parts using precision tools (micrometers, gauges, calipers) to ensure conformance to technical specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Monitor machines during operation, detecting malfunctions and adjusting speed/feed rates to correct issues.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot, repair, or replace cutting tools.
  • Safety & Efficiency: Adhere to all safety protocols (safety shoes, glasses) and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in CNC machining (specifically milling).
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAM software and machine programming.
  • Precision: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with close tolerances.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Education: High school diploma; technical certificate in CNC Machining is preferred.
Responsibilities of position





A CNC Machinist Miller sets up, programs, and operates CNC milling machines to produce precision parts based on blueprints, CAD models, or CAM files. They perform material shaping, tool maintenance, and quality inspection using micrometers and calipers. Key responsibilities include optimizing cutting speed, managing, and troubleshooting machine setups for maximum quality and efficiency.
