We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our septic, plumbing, storm shelter, and portable restrooms divisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high standards of service and safety. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be capable of taking leadership’s vision and strategically building and executing implementation plans.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in the sanitation or related industry.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Strong strategic and implementation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Responsibilities:

  1. Integration of Business Planning
  • Lead, Manage, and hold others Accountable
  • Business Plan Execution
  • Harnessing Visionary’s (Owners) Ideas
  • Bringing the leadership team together and ensuring synchrony
  • Ensuring the proper management of projects among teams
  1. Monday Morning Meeting Leadership:
  • Facilitate weekly safety and planning meetings.
  • Identify safety topics and discussion points.
  • Document safety meetings for record-keeping.
  • Review past and upcoming jobs, revenue/sales numbers, and departmental overview.
  • Discuss expectations and support staff in coaching and training.
  1. Supervision and Scheduling:
  • Supervise team leads to ensure smooth operations across service, call center, and installation teams, including scheduling, maintenance, and delivery.
  • Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Developing and implementing emergency response plans to address unforeseen issues such as equipment breakdowns, staff injuries, or environmental emergencies.
  • Act as a team player, filling in where needed to support daily operations.
  1. Truck Inspections:
  • Conduct weekly inspections of service and pump trucks.
  • Ensure cleanliness, stock levels, and tool accountability.
  • Address any maintenance or operational issues promptly.
  1. Problem Solving and Customer Solutions:
  • Provide solutions to operational challenges both on-site and with customers.
  • Exercise autonomy and decision-making authority to retain customer satisfaction.
  1. Leadership and Management:
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills.
  • Support training and coaching of staff to maintain high performance standards.
  • Lead verbal and written disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Ensure fair and consistent enforcement of company policies.
  1. Division Management:
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between teams and with external stakeholders such as clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for division growth, such as expanding service offerings and acquiring new contracts.
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure completed work exceeds customer expectations and delivers on company promises.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, both for employees and customers, including proper disposal procedures and sanitation standards.
  1. Reporting and Analysis:
  • Present weekly and monthly performance numbers to leadership staff.
  • Explain actions taken to address any missed goals or challenges.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement and optimization.
