Summary: Design and detailing of air cooled heat exchangers involving mechanical design and fabrication details by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Detail air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication.
• Prepare shop detail drawings, including bundle assemblies, plenums, columns, ladders and platforms.
• Communicate with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel.
• General knowledge of welded steel fabrication practices.
• Drafting skills – 3D assembly and part modeling, 2D parts drawings and flat patterns
• Computer skills must include Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with American Petroleum Institute 661.
• Familiar with OSHA requirements regarding walkways, handrails, stairs and equipment guards.
• Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.

1. High School Diploma or GED Certification with Fundamentals and Principles of CAD Design classes and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in heat exchanger and/or structural steel drafting;

2. Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting and Design with a minimum of one (1) year experience in structural steel fabrication drafting.

• 
  Must have one (1) year experience in 3D modeling (Inventor preferred).
