Description
Job Purpose:
A Material Handler Operators handles, moves and stores various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. Their main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner under the direction of the supervisor group leader or experienced associates in the area
- Work with partner in most cases
- Perform general clean up to keep work area clean and organized
- Pull materials from stock for the Production and deliver the materials to manufacturing location according to the pick for the work order.
- Move materials from and to warehouse as well as between operations within facility
- Responsible for the proper use of the available transportation means
- Maintain communication with the waste contracted companies for general waste elimination and Metal scrap elimination
Required Education & Preferred Certifications
- 2+ years of experience in similar manufacturing environment.
Required Knowledge / Skills
- Ability to read and interpret routine instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to operate material forklift and overhead crane and/or obtain certification.
- Basic computer skills
