Description
Job Purpose:
Machining Technician/CNC Operator is responsible for assembling machine components, as well as erecting, testing, teardown and shipping Pipe Machines and other equipment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner under the direction of the supervisor, group leader or experienced associates in the area.
- Perform general clean up to keep work area clean and organized
- Set up, adjust and operate CNC equipment for metal cutting (turning or milling)
- Measure and install tools into equipment
- Perform self-inspection for the parts resulted from the machining operation
- Work from blueprints and process control documents
- Responsible for quality of parts produced
- Responsible for documentation and identification generated or related to production of the job
- Work within close tolerances
- Work in a safe manner
Required Education & Preferred Certifications
- 2+ years of experience in similar role
Required Knowledge / Skills
- Ability to read and interpret routine instructions.
- Ability to read drawings & perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to operate CNC equipment (turning or milling).
- Ability to use measurement instruments
- Basic computer skills
