Human Resources (HR) Manager

The HR Manager will oversee employee relations, payroll systems, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires outstanding interpersonal skills to manage personnel effectively, as well as strong multitasking abilities to handle the demands of a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager serves as the primary HR leader for the site, responsible for delivering strategic and operational HR support in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, payroll coordination, and HR programs while acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees. The HR Manager plays a key role in workforce planning, engagement, and retention initiatives that support business objectives and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to
Strategic HR Leadership
  • Lead the implementation and execution of HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with business goals
  • Partner with site leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and succession planning
  • Analyze HR data and trends to recommend actions that improve engagement, retention, and productivity
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for hourly and salaried roles, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Develop and maintain effective recruiting strategies to support manufacturing workforce needs
  • Ensure a positive and compliant onboarding experience for new hires
Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues in a consistent, fair, and legally compliant manner
  • Support the development and administration of performance evaluations and development plans
Compliance & Policy Administration
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO requirements
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policy and legal standards
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook and site‑specific HR policies
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
  • Coordinate with corporate HR and benefits teams to administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, 401(k), leaves of absence, and open enrollment
  • Partner with Finance and corporate HR to process payroll accurately and on time
  • Support audits, reporting, and required regulatory filings
Training, Engagement & Culture
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including needs assessments and participation tracking
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and diversity initiatives
  • Partner with operations and safety teams to support a compliant, respectful, and productive workplace environment

Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience handling employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
Preferred
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP certification
  • Multi‑state HR experience
  • Experience supporting hourly manufacturing workforces and multi‑shift operations
