SCOPE
The Labor and Data Controller reports to the Site Operations Manager and provides administrative, data, and operational support across the facility. This non-exempt role supports Sofidel America’s Employee Personal Practice Policy and serves as a key liaison between Operations and Human Resources, with a strong focus on labor data accuracy, attendance management, reporting, and employee communications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operational & Administrative Support
  • Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP standards to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to all departments, including project coordination.
  • Track personnel requests and support shift scheduling and coverage.
  • Prepare and distribute reports related to overtime, attendance, leave, injuries, and headcount.
  • Maintain training records, skills matrices, organizational charts, and operational documentation.
  • Support employee engagement activities, meetings, and internal communications.
  • Maintain employee records in accordance with confidentiality and recordkeeping requirements.

Time & Attendance Administration
  • Manage and audit employee timecards using ADP.
  • Track call‑offs, tardiness, early departures, and exceptions.
  • Coordinate corrections to job titles, schedules, and reporting relationships as needed.
  • Compile attendance data for quarterly bonus calculations.
  • Serve as a liaison between Human Resources and Operations regarding attendance matters.

Attendance Tracking & Documentation
  • Maintain attendance tracking systems and disciplinary documentation.
  • Analyze attendance trends and apply corrective action in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide attendance summaries and point balances to supervisors.
  • Track eligibility for attendance‑based recognition programs and submit recommendations for approval.

Roster & Workforce Reporting
  • Maintain plant roster, including new hires and terminations.
  • Update employee data and distribute weekly roster reports.
  • Reconcile plant headcount with HR records.

Communications & Employee Engagement
  • Manage internal TV communications and prepare content.
  • Administer employee text communications.
  • Coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and engagement activities.
  • Serve as the site contact for Corporate Marketing related to employee communications.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare reports related to headcount, overtime, and labor metrics.
  • Support managers with administrative and reporting needs.
  • Coordinate food truck schedules and employee services.
  • Create and maintain intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheets, including pivot tables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of relevant administrative, HR, or operations experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Physical Demands
  • Primarily sedentary office work.
  • Frequent sitting and hand/finger use.
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment
  • Office environment within a manufacturing facility.
