Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Assistant District Attorney
LOCATION: Sallisaw (Sequoyah) and Tahlequah (Cherokee) offices
STATUS: Full-Time/Immediate Opening
CLOSING: Open Until Filled
SALARY: Salary ranging from $60,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional salary increases with experience in crimes against children and special victims.
BENEFITS: Full State of Oklahoma benefits, including generous monthly allowance for health coverage, paid sick and vacation leave earned monthly. Paid holidays.
JOB DESCRIPTION: District 27 is seeking an Assistant District Attorney for both Sallisaw (Sequoyah) and Tahlequah (Cherokee) offices. Candidates will perform a full range of prosecutions including misdemeanors, juveniles, and felonies. This is a great opportunity for the candidate wanting to gain hands-on experience. Right in the heart of green country with the Illinois River and Lake Tenkiller.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Experience is not required but preferred. Will consider attorneys sitting for the bar exam. Willing to travel between counties with use of state vehicle.
