Converting Operator: 10 Hour Night ShiftCreate value at TC Transcontinental.At TC Transcontinental, we’ve got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team. We are currently looking for a full-time Converting Operator to support production at our Lenexa plant. Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, the Converting Operator performs machine set-up for orders, safely operates machine to production target, waste, and quality standards, and trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard.
- 10 Hour Night Shift, Mon-Th, 9pm-7am

- Set up and safe operation of converting machine by troubleshooting and resolving mechanical problems of the machine
- Continuously monitor machine operation for efficiency, quality, and to minimize waste
- Provide leadership, expertise, and training to other team members
- Maintain accurate production records with legible production logs completed on time
- Ensure bag/pouch quality meet required specifications
- Follow safety and quality guidelines as trained
- High school Diploma or equivalent education and experience
- 1+ years operating a bag/pouch converting machine, preferred.
- 2+ years production experience
- Ability to occasionally work overtime
- Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly as well as ability to operate overhead hoist system to move cylinders weighing in excess of 200 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting
- Ability to tolerate strong solvent smell in parts of the plant
