About this opportunity
Inspector
We have Totani and B&B machine equipment, and looking for an energetic, detail-oriented and …As an Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting finished products to make sure it meets customer expectations and assist Operator in completing different tasks and maintaining efficient quality production.
What you will do
- Work safely at all times
- Assure machine is fed in an efficient manner.
- Sets-up machine to specifications outlined on the order
- Sets-up machine to standard set-up time & procedure
- Assure hands of bags are placed in boxes in proper stacking arrangements.
- Housekeeping - clean machine and operating area daily.
- Follow all Personnel and Safety guidelines
- Understand and follow all quality check requirements and procedures.
- Take measures to reduce waste and assure waste is weighed and recorded.
- Ensures assigned machine Preventive Maintenance (PM) is performed according to the schedule
- Completes all required tracking forms (Job Plan, Shift Run Report, Quality Sheet, and checklists)
- Ensures materials are available for next order & next shift
- Assist operator in maintaining efficient quality production and all other tasks as assigned.
- Relieve Operator for lunch and break.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by Operators, Lead Person, and Shift Supervisors.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to comply with all Food Safety & Quality System processes
- Ability to comply with and sustain 5S process
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner at all times
- Ability to recognize and match colors
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to plan and perform multiple tasks
- Ability to work any shift
- Ability to complete all required tracking forms (AX, Job Plan, Shift Run Report, Quality Sheet, and checklists)
- Ability to comply with all ergonomic requirements of the job including lifting, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and good math skills
- Initiates and supports process and continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent record of safety, attendance, and quality performance
