Press Operator: Weekend Day ShiftCreate value at TC Transcontinental.At TC Transcontinental, we’ve got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team. We are currently looking for a full-time Press Operator to support production at our Lenexa plant. Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, the Press Operator is responsible for preparing the press for print jobs as assigned, loads appropriate film and ink, ensures quality checking film for blots/errors. In addition, this position is responsible for moving completed jobs to the pallet for pick up.
- This is a 12-Hour Weekend Day Shift where you work 36 hours but get paid for 40
- Sa-S-M 7am to 7pm

- Prepares press and all job components for print job, such as anilox, ink, film, etc.
- Follows spec sheet for colors and gear sizes to use
- Checks ink color and placement on film then adjusts and fine tunes anilox rolls and plates to ensure job is printing according to specifications
- Checks UPC codes, ensuring they are scannable
- Responsible for managing and handling hazardous waste.
- Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements
- Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machine
- Performs rework as necessary
- High school Diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Previous experience operating a printing press (Flexo, Stack, Litho, Gravure)
- Ability to read a measuring tape
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple and concise instructions or information.
- Production experience
- Ability to occasionally work overtime
- Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly as well as ability to operate overhead hoist system to move cylinders weighing in excess of 200 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting
- Ability to tolerate strong solvent smell in parts of the plant
