Converting Inspector- 12-hour shift
2-2-3 Schedule, 8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8am

Pay: $15.50/hour

About this opportunity

This position is responsible for removing pouches from the machine and packaging them in the appropriate boxes, according to spec sheet requirements. They must also make adjustments to the machine as needed and load and unload materials from the machine.

What you will do

• Prepares boxes for packaging (tape bottom)
• Print/labels boxes and move them to pallet
• Collects finished pouch and put them in boxes
• Packs according to individual product instructions
• Updates the computer system with downtime and uptime
• Makes minor repairs to the machine as needed if a problem is identified
• Assists with machine preventative maintenance programs
• Performs rework, when necessary
• Quality & Safety
  • Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements
  • Ensure bag/pouch quality
• To efficiently check the quality of bags and pouched as they come off the machine and pack them according to spec sheet requirements
• Other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor

What you have to offer

• Must have the ability to read a tape measure
• Production experience is a plus
• Ability to read a measuring tape
• Ability to read and write
• Basic computer skills
• Communicates effectively one to one and in small groups. Easily articulates ideas and needs, so people at all levels can understand.
• Highly organized and self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects combine with the ability to provide and receive direction.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills with an aptitude to quickly absorb new procedures and new industry advancements.
