Job Description
A manual machinist operates manual machine tools like lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate, modify, or repair precision parts and instruments, often working from blueprints and specifications. They are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining these machines, ensuring accuracy and quality through measurements and inspections.

- Setting Up and Operating Machines:This includes selecting appropriate tools, setting machine parameters, and securing workpieces for machining.
- Performing Machining Operations:Using various tools like lathes, milling machines, and grinders, they shape and cut materials to precise dimensions.
- Ensuring Quality and Accuracy:This involves using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to inspect finished parts and ensure they meet the required tolerances.
