ABOUT THE ROLEThe Continuous Improvement (CI) Project Leader is responsible for driving initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall organizational performance by leading and managing improvement projects from inception to completion. This role requires expertise in continuous improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma, strong project management skills, and the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct thorough analysis of current business processes, using data-driven approaches to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and action plans that align with organizational goals and result in quality, productivity, and cost savings.
  • Lead and manage improvement projects (e.g., Kaizen events, Lean Six Sigma projects) from inception to completion, developing project plans, setting timelines, allocating resources, and managing budgets.
  • Oversee the implementation of process changes, manage resistance to change, and ensure that new procedures are successfully integrated into daily operations.
  • Develop and conduct training programs on continuous improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban), mentoring and coaching employees on best practices and problem-solving techniques.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives, preparing regular reports for management on progress and results.
  • Collaborate with department heads and cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in, foster teamwork, and drive effective solutions that meet strategic and operational needs.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or a related analytical field is required.
  • Prior experience (5+ years) in a manufacturing, operations, or process improvement role is usually necessary.
  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma. A minimum of a Green Belt certification.
  • Strong knowledge of process analysis and mapping techniques, statistical analysis, data analysis tools.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with various principles and related tools.
  • Strong leadership and the ability to inspire and motivate others to embrace change.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes of issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Effective change management expertise to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset to work effectively across departments.
  • Strategic thinking to align improvement initiatives with broader organizational goals.
