Job Summary:
As a Shipping/Receiving Department Warehouse Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for a variety of material handling, inventory management, and general warehouse tasks to ensure the timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move inventory
- Assist with receiving, sorting, and organizing incoming shipments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of inventory levels and transactions
- Collaborate with the shipping and receiving teams to ensure the efficient flow of materials
- Perform general warehouse duties, such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire position. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed. The warehouse environment can be physically demanding, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Compensation and Benefits:
The Starting pay rate for this position is $18.60 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
