Location: Claremore, OK
Join our dynamic team at a leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of electronic components, equipment, and systems for industrial and commercial applications. We are seeking a skilled Purchasing/Shipping professional to play a crucial role in our warehouse and distribution operations.
Job Summary:
As a Purchasing/Shipping Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including ordering, inventory management, and the coordination of shipping and receiving activities. This hybrid role requires a diverse skill set and attention to detail to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform purchasing and procurement duties, including sourcing vendors, negotiating prices, and placing orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective inventory control measures
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, including coordinating with carriers like UPS
- Provide stock clerk support, such as receiving, stocking, and organizing materials
- Assist with accounting and financial tasks related to the procurement and shipping functions on Quick Books
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain operations- Will also be required to keep Stock Room, Box Room and Packing Room clean and organized - Keep Kitchen area clean and wiped down/trash taken out etc.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Quick Books is a huge plus, but not required. l
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and UPS procedures
Working Conditions:
This is primarily an administrative, office-based role. The work environment is clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled. Some light physical demands, such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds, may be required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $16 per hour
