Job Description

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Associate is responsible for shipping and receiving, unloading/loading trucks, assembling customer orders, while verifying quantity, weight, and all other related requirements. Must be able to meet daily departmental requirements to meet customer needs. Individual must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: (Minimum education, training, skills and experience)
Must be familiar with MRP System to extract shipping receiving and inventory information and execute transactions. Ability to pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment within established shipping deadlines. Receive, analyze, and verify accuracy of customer orders to ensure quality and on time delivery targets are met. Successful candidate must be detailed oriented and able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment. Good understanding of logistics, general manufacturing, shipping/receiving and stockroom processes. Forklift experience required.

JOB ELEMENTS:
1. Protect yourself, your co-workers, and your company by maintaining a safe work environment. Keep work areas clean and orderly. Immediately report to your supervisor any problems that may have an impact on safety.
2. Verify condition, quantity, part numbers, description and paperwork (packing list, certificates, and receiver) of incoming parts and materials. Enter receipts into MAX.
3. Perform receiving inspection activities as directed (e.g., adhesion tape testing on powder coat). Record results.
4. Safely handle and store parts and materials in specified locations (on racks, shelves or in bins) to preserve their condition and prevent damage.
5. Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner, avoiding damage to personnel, property, or product.
6. Deliver materials to production areas by production’s start date.
7. Perform daily cycle counts and report results promptly (so that discrepancies can be resolved).
8. Perform final assembly (glass, gaskets, latches and hardware) on enclosures.
9. Properly pick, pack and label parts for shipment in accordance with company and customers packaging requirements to prevent damage.
10. Accurately prepare and distribute required paperwork (e.g., packing slip, bill of lading) by customers shipment due dates.
11. Maintain accuracy of paper and computer records for shipping, receiving, inventory, and transfers.
12. Record nonconforming parts or materials in accordance with procedure and notify Warehouse Lead or Quality.
13. Immediately report to your lead any problems or shortages which may impact safety, quality, the schedule or the company.
14. Protect the company’s investment and maintain a productive work environment by maintaining equipment and property provided. Report to your supervisor any problems relating to company equipment or property.
15. Perform other assignments or tasks as required.
