Job Description
Day Shift 5am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday and Fridays for OT as needed.Structural welder is a highly skilled tradesperson responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing the heavy metal framework for buildings, bridges, and industrial structures. They ensure the structural integrity and load-bearing capacity of these metal components Core Responsibilities
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex structural drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to accurately place and weld components.
- Metal Fabrication: Cut, shape, fit, and align heavy steel components such as I-beams, columns, plates, and girders.
- Welding Execution: Perform multi-pass welds using processes like Flux-Core (FCAW), Stick (SMAW), and MIG (GMAW) in various positions (e.g., 3G, 4G).
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed welds for defects, ensure proper alignment, and make necessary repairs to meet strict industry codes (e.g., AWS D1.1).
- Equipment Maintenance: Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines, grinders, and cutting torches.
