Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled crate builder/Shop Worker to join our team and support our construction and carpentry activities. In this role, you will work in our on-site workshop, assisting our skilled tradespeople and performing a variety of hands-on tasks to help us deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Use a tape measure and other tools to take accurate measurements
- Perform general shop work, including assembly, fabrication, and maintenance
- Assist skilled carpenters and construction workers with a variety of tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment
- Contribute to the overall success of our construction projects
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using a tape measure and other shop tools
- Familiarity with construction and handyman work
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a shop helper or construction laborer
- Knowledge of various construction techniques and materials
Working Conditions
This is a temporary-to-hire position, with the potential to transition to a permanent, full-time role. The work will be performed in our on-site workshop, which may involve some physical demands such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Compensation and Benefits
$15 per hour, with the opportunity to become a permanent, full-time employee with a comprehensive benefits package.
