Job Description
A granite and tile installer measures, cuts, and securely installs stone slabs and tiles on surfaces like floors, walls, and countertops. Job SummaryThe installer fits and lays heavy granite pieces and ceramic, porcelain, or stone tiles for residential and commercial projects. This role requires physical strength, precise measuring, and safe operation of power tools to ensure smooth, level, and clean results.

- Surface Preparation: Remove old materials, clean workspaces, and level floors, walls, or sub-tops using mortar, cement, or leveling compounds.
- Measuring and Cutting: Use tape measures, laser levels, and wet saws or diamond-blade grinders to cut stone and tile to exact dimensions.
- Material Placement: Apply adhesives, thin-set mortar, or epoxy to secure granite slabs and tiles into place with proper alignment and spacing.
- Finishing and Grouting: Fill joints with grout or caulking, wipe clean, and apply sealants to prevent stains and water damage.
- Customer Service: Communicate professionally with homeowners or general contractors, explain basic care and maintenance, and keep job sites neat.
Qualifications and Skills

- Experience: 1 to 3 years of general construction or direct stone/tile installation experience.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, layout patterns, and operate grinders, polishers, and wet saws.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 100 lbs), bend repeatedly, and work in tight spaces.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment screenings
