Job Description
A Class C Finning Operator (often related to industrial Fin Press Operations or an entry-to-intermediate level equipment operating tier) is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining specialized manufacturing machinery that produces metal fins (used in heat exchangers units).

Key Responsibilities

- Machine Operation: Set up, adjust, and safely operate finning or fin press machinery to meet strict production goals.
- Material Handling: Load metal coils or raw stock into the machinery and safely unload finished components.
- Quality Control: Visually inspect finished fins for defects, checking dimensions, alignment, and spacing against blueprints or schematic tolerances.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform basic preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating components, and checking fluid levels.
- Troubleshooting: Monitor machine gauges or HMI interfaces to identify minor operational faults, reporting major technical glitches directly to maintenance technicians or supervisors.
- Safety Adherence: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly follow required personal protective equipment (PPE) and OSHA compliance standards.
Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: Typically requires 1–3 years of experience as a machine operator in a heavy industrial or manufacturing facility.
- Technical Skills: Basic mechanical inclination with the ability to use standard hand tools and accurately read measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs occasionally, stand for extended periods, and maintain the manual dexterity required to manipulate machine controls.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED
