Level Description
‘Technician’ Leveling Guide consists of jobs that accomplish work through a specialized knowledge or skills gained through a combination of vocational education, training, apprenticeship (craft, skilled and semi-skilled), and experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to manufacturing technician job profiles.

Market Summary
Provides in-house and on-site field service, repair, calibration, upgrades, verification, validation, reconditioning, overhaul, & integration of equipment. Maintains and manages service records & documentation. Researches product designs and capabilities. Applies and develops time saving, cost effective service and quality assurance procedures.

Impact
• Applies advanced technical knowledge of methods, regulations, equipment, systems, controls, procedures, and/or essential regulations to assigned work. May begin to serve as a technical lead on a shift or lead a portion of work.
