Title: Director, Communications and Change Management Reports to: SVP, People and Operations Location: Remote, United States About the Role At PaulHood, we are transforming the mid-market CPA industry with an entirely new model. Our year-round membership model provides clients with expert tax and financial guidance, helping them feel more secure and realize their long-term financial goals. Founded 30 years ago by Paul Hood, our company has grown rapidly and now serves over 15,000 customers nationwide. To support our continued growth, we have completely modernized our business with technology and processes more akin to a SaaS company than a CPA firm. In response to this growth, we are seeking a Director, Communications and Change Management to lead and manage our organization's internal communication strategies and support cross-functional projects, ensuring effective and timely dissemination of information across the company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating and implementing successful communication initiatives, working cross-functionally, managing change, and driving project success within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. To do this well, you’ll need to be scrappy and hands-on, unafraid to dive into the tactical as a team of one. You’ll need the ability to influence without authority, deeply understand the nuances of our organization, and build deep cross-functional relationships. You’ll also need to possess an anticipatory perspective as we plan for and communicate new processes and strategies. You’re able to support project teams in thinking about and planning communications as a part of their project work. You’re enthusiastic about managing the tactical work of developing communications, getting cross-functional input/approval, and rolling out the messaging in a timely manner. •Scrappy and Resourceful: This role will be a solo position for the near future. Success will be defined by someone who can comfortably move “up and down” the ladder of seeing the big picture and driving a plan, while owning the day-to-day development of tools and communications. •Fast and Flexible: You work quickly and respond to issues that arise as needed. You’re great at building flexible systems and processes to allow for pivots and change when needed, within the framework of the strategy. •A Contextual Thinker: This role will be working throughout the organization and will need to keep in mind potentially conflicting priorities and look for opportunities to surface issues appropriately. •Detailed and Accurate: You’re the guru of crossing the t’s and dotting the i's. Rarely does one catch typos or misspellings in your work, and you don’t have to reissue clarifications or corrections. You’re also the standard-bearer of keeping communications reflective of the brand voice and culture. What’s In It For You You will join a forward-thinking team that is reshaping the future of the tax and accounting industry.
