Newton Design is expanding! We’re seeking a skilled and experienced CNC machinist to join our manufacturing team.
Newton Design specializes in simulation and training equipment for the aviation industry, law enforcement agencies, and the military. Our core focus is the design and fabrication of full-scale replica aircraft cabins and fuselages—delivering high-fidelity systems using both mechanical assemblies and actual aircraft equipment.
The CNC Operator / Programmer will be responsible for operating, setting up, and programming a variety of CNC equipment used in the production of high-precision components for our simulation systems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate CNC machinery, including mills and lathes, to produce precision parts
- Set up machines for production runs, including tooling and fixture installation
- Run CNC machines to meet part specifications using appropriate software
- Monitor machining operations and inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain part tolerances
- Maintain tooling, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support project needs
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards during operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC operator
- Background in CNC setup
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with standard inspection tools and practices
