Full job description

Newton Design is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Buyer to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

We are a quality supplier of simulation and training equipment, serving the aviation industry, law enforcement agencies, and military by designing, manufacturing, and delivering simulated aircraft interiors and exteriors for the purpose of training air crew and law enforcement.

The Buyer is responsible for fielding purchase requests, obtaining competitive pricing and lead-times from suppliers, accurately ordering materials, components, and supplies and entering information info the purchasing system. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accuracy, documentation control, and efficient material flow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Fulfill purchase requests
• Research viable suppliers to increase purchasing power
• Obtain quotes from suppliers
• Create Purchase Orders in the purchasing systems
• Manage Supplier Performance for order accuracy and on-time delivery
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, completeness, and damage
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and operational procedures
• Maintain required documentation supporting ISO/AS9100 compliance requirements
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to support efficient operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of buying experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and data entry systems

Additional Information:

• MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
• Must possess a REAL ID
• Must be able to work occasional overtime if required to meet project deadlines
• All Newton Design facilities are climate controlled

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
